INDEPENDENT THEATRE///
Teatercentrum represents more than 70 independent theatres in Sweden. Our members are politically unaffiliated, non-commercial professional theatre companies, producers and artists.

ANY TIME///
Every month, some one and a half thousand stage-plays are performed throughout Sweden – one in three is produced by an independent theatre company. Over 40 per cent of these perform to young audiences.

ANY WHERE///
Independent theatres that offer great diversity in terms of genre and forms of expression are found in most parts of Sweden. Many of them tour country-wide and abroad.

is a national, non-profit interest organization and network of independent theatres in Sweden.

WE ORGANIZE ///
meeting points for sharing knowledge and experience of an artistic and practical nature including theatre activities, artistic development, education, information, professional know-how, etc.

WE TAKE ACTION///
We monitor cultural policies in order to improve the situation for independent theatres and support artistic diversity in the field of theatre. We also emphasize the need for a good infrastructure of presenters that can help improve ease of access to theatre for the general public and the revenue of the independent theatre companies.
