Teater DaCapo
Teater DaCapo was established in 1981. We perform to all ages in Uppsala and on tour. Over the years, we have mostly performed to children and teenagers all over Sweden. We also organize and carry out seminars and courses within the field of theatre.
It is our aim to:
– Produce plays because we want to tell a story and share our knowledge and experience, our visions and to talk about issues we care about.
– Produce plays that make the most of what is special about theatre – the actors’ interaction with the audience, sharing space and time, here and now.
– Produce plays that stop the time for a moment and allow us to look in the mirror and ask ourselves: where do we come from, where are we going?
– Produce plays that give people the strength to understand that they can influence things by their own thoughts and actions.
– Work to promote a lively theatre environment in Sweden with plays that amuse and disturb, that affect rather than simply entertain people.
– Work to promote a theatre form that bridges the gap and destroys walls between people.
– Create and perform plays that are able make us and our audiences understand that the impossible is possible!
