Teater Nostra
Teater Nostra, established in 1996, performs new drama.
We started off by performing during the summer at Teaterlogen at Yngsjö in north-east Skåne, where our work reflected and related to the history of the county of Skåne. Our vision then was to promote interest in the cultural and historical heritage of the region by enacting local stories. We did our final summer performance in 2009.
We are now based in Stockholm and tour the country with our Experience–Knowledge–Science concept, intended for adult and young audiences. Apart from our stage shows, we have produced exhibitions and teaching aids for all our tours.
We envisage a personal and close relationship with our audiences since we aim to share the experience with them. We want them to be involved, activated and to reflect instead of just consume. A constructive discussion after the performance is thus both important and fruitful.
