Teater UNO

Teater UNO is a theatre collective founded in 1977. The primary target group is teenagers, although the group performs for children and adults too. Teater UNO is based at their own venue in central Gothenburg and tours nation-wide, mainly for school children.

The subject matter includes existential and social issues based on current events. We set a high standard, but we do not lecture people. Our performances are extrovert and playful. We usually work with new material or our own adaptations of the classics, including Strindberg, Kafka, Camus and Dostoevsky.

Teater UNO is committed to increasing the use of theatre in teaching, and has therefore chosen to largely perform in a classroom environment.

The ensemble also works with role playing exercises in connection with performances, organize seminars and accept guest performances.

The members of the group are Åsa Eek Engquist, Marie Svensson, Pelle Bolander, Carl Harlén, Björn Holmudd and Staffan Nattsén.
